Installing WordPress with cPanel

cPanel is a popular web hosting control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a website. WordPress is one of the most popular applications that can be installed on a cPanel server. In most cases, WordPress can be installed automatically using the cPanel Softaculous installer. However, if your server does not have the Softaculous installer, you can follow the instructions below to install WordPress manually.

Before you begin, you will need the following:

* Access to your cPanel account

* A MySQL database for WordPress

* A text editor

Download the most recent official version of WordPress from https://wordpress.org/download/. Save the downloaded zip file to your desktop computer.

Once the zip file has been downloaded, extract the entire archive. Note the location of the extracted content. Upload the extracted content to your web server.

Upload WordPress Install Script to Server

1. Go to your cPanel account by browsing to your_domain_name.com/cpanel.

2. Enter your user name and log in.

3. Find and open the File Manager tool.

Create Database username and password

1. Enter a username and password. The username should be seven characters or less, and the password should be strong enough to turn the strength meter green and read "Very Strong." Your hosting account name will prepend the username.

The newly created user needs to be added to the database in order to grant access. To do this:

Find "Add User to database"

Under the "User" drop-down menu, select your newly created user.

Choose your newly created database under the "Database" drop-down menu and click "Add."

For the initial database user, select the "All Privileges" checkbox.

And click make changes
